Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and improve your experience. We also use localStorage for similar purposes.

Analytics and Marketing cookies are set only after you give consent via the cookie banner. Marketing pixels appear exclusively on publicly shared property pages where the page owner has enabled ad tracking. Page-load performance is measured separately with Vercel Speed Insights, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — it therefore runs without consent.
selekto_anon_id is set by us and used only to produce our own audience statistics: how many people opened a page, whether they came back, where they stopped. It is never combined with data from other websites, never sold or shared, and never used to build a profile or to target advertising. The key expires 13 months after it is issued and is not extended by further visits; the records tied to it are deleted after 25 months. Because it does nothing beyond measuring our own audience, we do not ask for consent for it. Instead, you can reset it whenever you like, as described below.

4. Managing Cookies
On your first visit we show a consent banner where you can accept all, reject all, or configure categories. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent takes effect from the next page load. You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies, though this may affect site functionality.
Resetting your visitor ID. The Cookie Preferences dialog also contains a "Reset" button under "Your visitor ID". It removes selekto_anon_id from your browser, both the cookie and the copy in browser storage. The next page you open issues a fresh key that is not linked to the previous one. Records already collected under the old key are kept until their 25-month limit and are then deleted; if you want them removed sooner, write to privacy@selekto.net.
