Learn how to use Selekto
Pixels & Tracking
If you run your own advertising campaigns, point them at a public selection and let Selekto inject your tracking pixels. Advertising from Selekto itself is described in Ads Cabinet. Both switches exist only on For anyone selections.
Two switches
- Search – lets search engines index the page so it can also be found organically. Off by default
- Pixels (Ads tracking in the selection editor) – the master switch. While it is off your pixel IDs are kept but nothing is injected. Off by default
Supported pixels
- Meta Pixel – copy the ID from Meta Events Manager. Setup guide: Meta Pixel
- Google Analytics 4 – the measurement ID looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX and lives in Google Analytics. Where to find it: GA4 measurement ID
- TikTok Pixel – copy the ID from TikTok Ads Manager. Setup guide: TikTok Pixel
Meta Conversions API
Browser pixels are routinely blocked by ad blockers, so a share of your conversions never reaches Meta. Selekto can also send the same events server-to-server through the Meta Conversions API. Save a CAPI pixel once – pixel ID plus access token – in Settings → Integrations and attach it to as many selections as you like.
Setting it up
- On the Desk open the Preview step and turn on Pixels – or open the selection editor and expand Advanced — visibility & marketing
- Paste the IDs for the platforms you advertise on – one, two or all three
- For server-side tracking pick your CAPI pixel in the selection editor
- Point your ad campaign at the selection link
If events are not arriving
- Pixels only load after the visitor grants Marketing cookie consent. Until they do, nothing fires – this is required by GDPR and is not a fault
- Preview mode never fires pixels, so your own test opens cannot pollute campaign data. Verify with the real public link
- Pixels must be on – saved IDs on their own do nothing
- For client selections never carry pixels or indexing; while a Selekto ad campaign runs, both switches are locked
